Developing a Leisure Development Model for the Elderly Based on Physical-Psychological Approach (Grounded Theory)

Introduction: The population of the elderly in Iran is growing rapidly. In the meantime، What is clear، this is That period of aging naturally، It has mental and physical problems. Therefore، mental and physical illnesses in this age group increase the cost of health care exponentially. The Purpose of this research developing an Elderly Leisure-Time Development Model Based on the approach Mental Physical. Method: To design the model mentioned from methodology foundation data theory used. For this purpose between managers senior officials and experts based on theoretical sampling and doing 21 interviews and reviewing 13 documents ،information needed to collect and at the same time as collecting through the triple steps open coding ،axial ،and selectivity was analyzed. Then based on analysis results elderly leisure model approach based mental physical edited. Results: leisure development strategy elderly based on the approach Mental Physical it consists of five basic steps policy making ،stakeholder analysis ،designing leisure time elderly،designing elderly leisure time program،and implementation and evaluation،also factors like،cultural conditions ،social and economic conditions،also on these strategies have been effective and on its implementation have an impact. Conclusion: According to research determine the central idea the most important step leisure time for the elderly Based on the approach Mental Physical therefore،according to interviews analysis،leisure time physical activity of the elderly، selected as the central idea. With the development of exercise and physical activity in the elderly، in the form of leisure time this valuable segment of society in the country ،can have economic and social benefits health promotion (Mental Physical) this age group and also sports bedding and physical activity in the elderly expected.
